Weld fixtures and jigs in Vista, CA
Without a fixture, every part gets set up by eye, and every part comes out a little different. We build the fixture before the first weld, in welded steel, 3D-printed or both, so part 500 sets up like part one.

What a fixture does.
Fixtures for the parts we weld, and for your own welding cell through Welding Systems.
Holds the geometry
Each piece is located the same way every time, so the part comes out to the drawing.
Controls distortion
The part stays clamped while it’s welded, so heat can’t pull it out of shape.
Makes setup repeatable
Every part loads the same way, so part 500 sets up like part one.
Moves with the process
When welding comes in-house, the same fixtures and procedure can move into your shop.
What we weld in them: aluminum, stainless steel including 316, carbon steel, and Inconel, titanium and duplex stainless.
Welded steel, 3D-printed or hybrid.
- Welded steel.
- Rigid and durable. Suited to heavier parts, high heat and long runs.
- 3D-printed.
- Light and quick to shape around complex geometry. Suited to prototypes, light parts and locators kept away from the arc.
- Hybrid.
- A steel base for rigidity, with printed locators for shape. Useful when the part is complex and the run is long.
- Which one?
- It depends on the part, the heat and the run. We choose the type for the job.

Where the fixture fits.
It’s built before the first weld and used for every part after.

Send the drawing
PDF, STEP or DXF, plus the quantity and the date you need the parts. NDA on request.
- 02
Get a price and a ship date
In writing. If material pricing holds up the quote, we tell you right away. Expedited runs when you need them.
- 03
First part checked to print
The fixture is built before welding. Part one is welded in it and checked against your drawing before the run starts.
- 04
The run
Every part loads into the same fixture, so the last part matches the first.
- 05
Inspected, packed, documented
Visual weld inspection, then packed and shipped with material certs, weld inspection reports and test results when your job needs them.

Fixture questions.
Do you build fixtures for the parts you weld?
Yes. The fixture is built before welding, in welded steel, 3D-printed or a hybrid, so every part in the run sets up the same way.
Can you build fixtures for our in-house welding?
Yes, as part of Jones Welding Systems, our newest service. Equipment and fixtures are quoted separately from the starting scope.
Welded steel or 3D-printed: which is better?
It depends on the part, the heat and the run. Steel where the fixture needs rigidity and has to take heat. Printed where shape and quick changes matter. A hybrid when you need both.
Why build a fixture for a short run?
Checking part one against the drawing only helps if the rest set up the same way. On a 13-piece plate run, the fixture holds the geometry so part seven matches part one.
Do you need a 3D model?
Send what you have: PDF, STEP or DXF. The fixtures are designed in CAD.
