What does the starting price include?
Application assessment, 40 hours of operator development at Jones, and five hours of onsite setup and training. We build the starting scope around one operator and one welding process and application, such as production MIG.
What is priced separately?
Equipment, tooling, fixtures, facility changes, and additional training or support are quoted separately. Travel is added when flights and accommodation are needed. Your operator’s wages and running costs remain part of your operation. We agree the full scope before work starts.
What can 40 hours accomplish?
Forty hours focuses on the process and application your operator will perform. Jones helps establish the setup, develop technique, and diagnose problems. We assess readiness against your quality requirements. Broader skills and code qualifications need their own training and testing.
How soon can we be producing?
The schedule depends on part complexity, equipment availability, facility readiness, operator starting skill, and qualification requirements. We establish those dependencies during assessment and set the launch sequence around them.
How do we evaluate payback?
Start with what you spend on outsourced welding. Compare that with the full cost of producing the work inside: labor, material, consumables, inspection, maintenance, scrap, and overhead. We evaluate the setup investment against those savings, along with lead time and schedule control.
What if the setup or operator needs more work?
We review the first parts against the agreed quality and production requirements, then identify any setup changes, additional practice, or testing needed. Your proposal defines launch support and how any additional work is handled. Ongoing support is agreed before handoff.
Can we start with training only?
Yes. Forty hours of focused training at the Jones facility is typically $10,000–$12,000. The integrated assessment and onsite setup are part of the broader starting scope.
